T. Jeff Russell, M.D. | Eye Doctor in Dallas TX

Dr. T. Jeff Russell earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Chemistry from Baylor University in Waco, Texas, and his medical degree from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas. He continued his training with an Internship in Internal Medicine at Presbyterian Hospital of Dallas, and a Residency in Ophthalmology at LSU Medical Center in Shreveport, Louisiana. Dr. Russell then went on to complete a prestigious Fellowship in Cornea, Refractive and Anterior Segment Surgery at the Baylor College of Medicine in Houston.

A board-certified Fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, Dr. Russell has been in private practice as an eye doctor in Dallas since 1991. In addition, he served for 23 years as an Associate Clinical Professor of Ophthalmology at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School. Dr. Russell is affiliated with Texas Health Resources, Presbyterian Hospital, Wise Regional Hospital System, Ophthalmology Surgery Center of Dallas, and Laser Center for Vision Care at Southwestern.

Renowned in the field of ophthalmology, Dr. Russell is a well-known eye doctor in the area, and has been selected as one of the Best Doctors in Dallas in D Magazine for multiple years. He is very active in professional organizations including the American Medical Association, American Academy of Ophthalmology, American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, International Society of Refractive Surgery and Texas Ophthalmology Association, among others.

Outside of his work as an eye doctor, in his free time Dr. Russell enjoys playing golf, skiing, cheering on the Baylor Bears, reading classical literature, the CS Lewis Institute, backpacking, and spending time with his wife of 37 years, his three daughters and son-in-laws and six grandchildren.
